Planning a vacation with multiples…. Part 2

I’m starting to freak out; I have lists and lists running through my head. I just know I’m going to forget to do something very important, but what could it be?

We’ve paid for the rental house, flights are still booked, and we have a plan for which parks we are going to visit. We also just found out that the space shuttle has been rescheduled to launch during our time in Florida.

So over the next couple weeks, we will be enjoying the sunny weather from our local playground, our backyard, and an occasional trip to the grocery store. Might sound odd, but the triplets all have a cold now, and I’m thinking it’s time to keep them away from the communal play areas…. you know the ones that no matter how careful you are, you’re child catches something every time they go. Well with 4 little ones, the whole house can be down for a month, EASY! And I really hope I can get them on the airplane without any sinus issues. It really stinks when little ones start to feel that pressure in the ears, and eating/drinking something doesn’t help. LittleBee1 streamed on her first airplane ride from the moment the airplane started to descend, until we hit the ground. Needless to say, everyone on the airplane was very helpful and handed me my bags and let me exit the airplane 1st. I’m not sure if I just didn’t see any eyes roll, or if the majority of people on that airplane have children, and know what I was going through.

Needless to say, I know it will be a very stressful several hours, but it will be over in a few hours, opposed to driving for a couple days.

I’d love to hear your vacation stories, or Disney suggestions. Especially if you think we can all learn something from them.

So my next plan is to check out the airlines website and study the fine print about what I can bring along for children. For example: I know that American Airlines lets you check car seats for free. I just want to make sure I have everything I need in case we get stuck on the airplane for longer than we are supposed to. You know those nightmare stories about people sitting on the tarmac for hours, without diapers, milk, etc…

Thanks for reading, and please keep reading if you’re out there…
